Koala Coats Painting (“we”, “us”) is a painting company based in Kelowna, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through koalacoatspainting.ca, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

  • Quote and contact requests. When you fill out our quote form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of service you’re interested in, and your project details.
  • Phone calls and emails. If you call or email us, we keep the details you share so we can respond and quote your project.
  • Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, how you arrived, general location such as city, device and browser type). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
  • Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person, not a bot, is submitting the form. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details.

How we use it

  • To respond to your request, arrange a consultation and prepare your estimate.
  • To schedule and complete painting work you’ve hired us for, and to follow up afterward.
  • To keep the website working, secure and free of spam, and to understand which pages are useful.

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don’t add you to any mailing list without asking.

Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers that help us run the website and business, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Our website host (Hostinger), which stores the website and processes form submissions.
  • Our email provider, which delivers your quote request to our inbox.
  • Google (Analytics and Google Fonts) and Cloudflare (Turnstile spam protection).

Some of these providers may store or process information outside of Canada, including in the United States.

Cookies

The site uses cookies for Google Analytics and for basic site functions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and job details for as long as needed to provide our services, honour our quality guarantee, and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within 30 days.
